We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Coordinator for Cord Blood Collection. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the collection and processing of cord blood donations from expectant mothers. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping to save lives through the collection of potentially life-saving cord blood donations.   1. Coordinate the collection and processing of cord blood donations from expectant mothers.
  2. Communicate with expectant mothers to educate them about the importance of cord blood donation and to schedule collection appointments.
  3. Ensure that all necessary paperwork and consent forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure proper collection and transportation of cord blood donations.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all collected donations and ensure proper storage and labeling.
  6. Assist in training and educating new staff members on cord blood collection procedures.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and guidelines related to cord blood collection and processing.
  8. Work closely with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of cord blood donations.
  9. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies for cord blood collection and processing.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families throughout the donation process.
  11. Participate in outreach and educational events to promote cord blood donation and raise awareness.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and teams within Emory Healthcare to ensure smooth coordination of donation efforts.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Healthcare Administration, Or Medical Technology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Blood Bank Or Cord Blood Collection Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Cord Blood Collection And Processing.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills To Effectively Coordinate And Manage The Collection Process.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team In A Fast-Paced Environment, With A Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
