Job Description

  1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of anesthesia services for the Anesthesia Services department at Emory Healthcare.
  2. Ensure that all anesthesia procedures and protocols are followed and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective delivery of anesthesia services.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring that they are properly stocked and in working condition.
  5. Create and maintain schedules for anesthesia staff and ensure adequate coverage for all procedures.
  6. Communicate with patients and their families to provide information and answer any questions regarding anesthesia procedures and services.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all anesthesia procedures, including patient information, medications, and dosages.
  8. Train and mentor new staff members in anesthesia procedures and protocols.
  9. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to improve patient care and enhance the overall efficiency of anesthesia services.
  10. Stay current with advancements in anesthesia technology and procedures, and make recommendations for implementing new techniques or equipment.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  12. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for patients and staff.
  13. Represent Emory Healthcare in a professional and positive manner, reflecting the organization's commitment to exceptional patient care and medical research.
  14. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the Anesthesia Services department and overall mission of Emory Healthcare.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.

  • Current Certification As A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Crna).

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Anesthesia Services, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Anesthetic Medications, Equipment, And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication, Organizational, And Leadership Skills.
