Job Description

Emory Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cardiovascular EP Lab Technologist to join our team. As a leader in the field of cardiology, our EP Lab Technologists play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.   1. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular EP lab, including electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations.
  2. Monitor and interpret patient data during procedures, and make appropriate adjustments as needed.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate test results.
  4. Maintain and operate specialized equipment and technology used in the EP lab.
  5. Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, and respond to any emergencies or complications.
  6. Keep accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in EP technology and techniques, and actively participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
  8. Train and mentor new EP lab staff members, including technologists and nurses.
  9. Follow all hospital policies and protocols, as well as regulatory guidelines, in order to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis.
  13. Maintain a professional and positive attitude, promoting a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiovascular Ep Lab.

  • Current Certification As A Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Rcis) Or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (Rces).

  • Proficiency In Performing Electrophysiology Procedures, Including Diagnostic Studies, Ablations, And Device Implantations.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Team Environment.
