Job Description

Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cardiac Sonographer to join our team of professionals. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, vascular studies, and ultrasound tests. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide excellent patient care.The ideal candidate must have an Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field, as well as ARDMS certification in echocardiography (RDCS/RCS) and vascular (RVT/RVS). You must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have an aptitude for detailed work. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform high-quality echocardiograms, vascular studies, and ultrasound tests.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide excellent patient care.
  3. Maintain ARDMS certification in echocardiography (RDCS/RCS) and vascular (RVT/RVS).
  4. Provide strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Possess an aptitude for detailed work.
  6. Work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Maintain a high level of professional conduct and ethical standards.
  8. Follow safety protocols and procedures as outlined by the healthcare facility.
  9. Monitor patient progress and document results of examinations.
  10. Provide patient education and answer any questions they have regarding their procedure.
