  1. Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Observation Area.
  2. Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status and vital signs.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  6. Use critical thinking skills to quickly identify and respond to changes in patient status.
  7. Document all patient care and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  9. Maintain a compassionate and supportive attitude towards patients and their families.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and advancements in cardiac nursing.
  11. Advocate for patient needs and rights within the healthcare system.
  12. Communicate effectively and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.

  17. Serve as a resource and mentor to new nurses and nursing students.
  18. Participate in unit meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and unit processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certification

  • Active Rn License In The State Of Georgia

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Observation Or Related Unit

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Rhythms And Ability To Interpret Ekgs

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field (Preferred)
