
Cardiac Monitor Technician
At Emory Healthcare, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our world-class cardiovascular team. The successful candidate will serve as an integral part of the patient care team by monitoring, interpreting, and recording patients' cardiac rhythm and vital signs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, an ability to remain calm in stressful situations, and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing quality care and is committed to patient safety. Required Qualifications:- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification- Minimum of two years' experience as a Cardiac Monitor Technician- Ability to interpret and accurately record cardiac rhythms and vital signs- Working knowledge of cardiac medications and their effects on cardiac rhythm- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, interpret, and record patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs in accordance with established medical protocols.
- Ensure all cardiac rhythm recordings are accurately documented and communicated to the medical team.
- Monitor patients for any changes in cardiac rhythms and vital signs and take appropriate action as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and document all medications administered.
- Ensure patient safety by responding quickly and accurately to any changes or abnormalities in cardiac rhythms or vital signs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- Provide patient education and guidance on cardiac medications and their effects on the heart.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all staff and patients.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
