Job Description

At Emory Healthcare, we are looking for a talented and experienced Buyer - Food and Nutrition who has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This individual will be responsible for the procurement and inventory management of food and nutrition products. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong understanding of the food and nutrition supply chain, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to successfully manage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain and/or procurement. This individual should also have experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in the food and nutrition sector. Knowledge of industry trends, including advances in technology, is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Procure food and nutrition products in accordance with organizational standards and regulations
Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to ensure efficient delivery of products
Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of products
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality products
Monitor industry trends related to food and nutrition products and technologies
Analyze and report on supply chain and procurement performance metrics
Develop and implement strategies to improve cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain
Assist with the development of policies and procedures related to procurement and inventory management
Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements for food and nutrition procurement
Provide internal and external customer service to stakeholders in the supply chain.
