
Armed Public Safety Officer
Emory Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and highly trained Armed Public Safety Officer to join our team. As an Armed Public Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff. - Protect and serve the patients, visitors, and staff of Emory Healthcare by maintaining a visible and authoritative presence as an armed public safety officer.
- Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems to identify and prevent potential security threats.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all emergency situations, including but not limited to medical emergencies, security breaches, and disruptive behavior.
- Enforce all applicable laws, regulations, and policies to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Collaborate with other security and law enforcement agencies as needed to address complex security issues.
- Continuously assess and evaluate security procedures and protocols to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related incidents and activities.
- Attend ongoing training and development programs to remain up-to-date on the latest security techniques and procedures.
- Uphold the values and mission of Emory Healthcare and serve as a positive role model for others in the organization.
Completion Of A Recognized Police Academy Or Equivalent Training Program.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement Or Armed Security.
Possession Of A Valid Georgia Peace Officer Standards And Training (Post) Certification.
Ability To Pass An Extensive Background Check, Including Criminal History And Drug Screening.
Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Remain Calm And Professional In High-Stress Situations.
