As an Armed Public Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.   1. Ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff by monitoring the premises and responding to any potential threats or emergencies.
  2. Uphold the values and mission of Emory Healthcare by demonstrating integrity, compassion, excellence, and teamwork in all interactions and duties.
  3. Maintain a strong knowledge of the facility and its layout in order to effectively respond to and handle any security or safety concerns.
  4. Use strong communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  5. Follow all policies and procedures related to security and safety protocols, including but not limited to patrolling the facility, conducting security checks, and responding to alarms and emergency situations.
  6. Possess and maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws, as well as hospital policies and procedures, related to the use of armed force.
  7. Work closely with other members of the security team, as well as hospital staff, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to any security or safety issues.
  8. Utilize appropriate equipment and tools, including firearms, in a safe and responsible manner while on duty.
  9. Stay updated on the latest security and safety techniques and procedures, and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  10. Act as a role model for other team members by consistently displaying a professional and respectful demeanor, and promoting a positive and welcoming environment for all.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed records of any incidents or activities that occur during shifts, and report them to the appropriate authorities and supervisors.
  12. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards while on duty, and represent Emory Healthcare with the utmost professionalism and dedication.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Certified Law Enforcement Officer Or Military Police Officer.

  • Ability To Pass A Comprehensive Background Check, Including Criminal History And Drug Screening.

  • Must Possess A Valid Driver's License And Maintain A Clean Driving Record.

  • Completion Of Certified Training Program In Firearms, Defensive Tactics, And Emergency Response.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Remain Calm And Professional In High-Stress Situations.
