Job Description

Elevance Health is looking for a Subrogation Examiner to join our team. We are seeking an individual with strong organizational and problem-solving skills to assist in the recovery of funds from various sources. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented and have an understanding of the legal and insurance aspects of the subrogation process. If you are committed to accuracy and customer service, we would like to hear from you.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and at least one year of experience in the health insurance field. Experience with legal and medical terminology and an understanding of the subrogation processes is also a plus. Responsibilities:

  1. Examine all legal and insurance documents related to the subrogation process.
  2. Research and analyze all relevant information to determine the best course of action for recovering funds.
  3. Communicate with other departments, insurance companies, and legal professionals regarding subrogation matters.
  4. Identify potential areas of risk and develop strategies to minimize the potential of loss.
  5. Maintain accurate records and files for all subrogation cases.
  6. Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely fashion.
  7. Stay up-to-date with state and federal laws related to subrogation.
  8. Generate reports and provide recommendations to management on the status of subrogation cases.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of procedures for the subrogation process.
  10. Ensure that all subrogation cases are managed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
