
Subrogation Analyst
Elevance Health is seeking an experienced Subrogation Analyst to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing great customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare and an understanding of the subrogation process. The Subrogation Analyst will be responsible for researching, identifying, and recovering payments from third-party payers in order to maximize financial recoveries for Elevance Health. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. To be successful in this role, the Subrogation Analyst must be comfortable working independently, have strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)• Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare subrogation, third-party collections, or similar • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, healthcare finance, and insurance rules and regulations • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines is a plus If you are a detail-orientated individual with a passion for healthcare and a desire to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify third-party payers in order to maximize financial recoveries for Elevance Health.
- Analyze insurance rules and regulations for subrogation opportunities.
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to record and communicate findings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party payers.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with third-party payers.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail when processing claims.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- Prioritize multiple tasks while working independently.
- Monitor and report on progress of collection efforts.
