  1. Coordinate and schedule patient appointments with the appropriate specialist or healthcare provider.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure a smooth referral process.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all referrals and appointments.
  4. Follow up with patients to ensure they have received the necessary care and services.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient referral processes.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have.
  7. Stay up-to-date on insurance policies and procedures related to referrals.
  8. Assist in managing and organizing referral paperwork and documentation.
  9. Conduct necessary research to find the best and most suitable healthcare providers for each patient's needs.
  10. Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times.
  11. Continuously strive to improve referral processes and identify areas for improvement.
  12. Attend training and development programs to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  13. Adhere to all company rules and regulations.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: A Referral Services Assistant Must Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Systems: A Thorough Understanding Of Healthcare Systems, Including Insurance Networks, Referral Processes, And Medical Terminology Is Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Organizational Skills: The Referral Services Assistant Must Be Highly Organized And Detail-Oriented In Order To Manage A High Volume Of Referrals And Maintain Accurate Records.

  • Customer Service Experience: This Position Requires A Strong Customer Service Focus, As The Referral Services Assistant Will Be Interacting With Patients And Providers On A Daily Basis. Previous Experience In A Customer Service Role Is Preferred.

  • Ability To Multi-Task: The Referral Services Assistant Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes Managing Incoming Referrals, Scheduling Appointments, And Following Up With Patients And Providers.
