- Lead and manage the grievance and appeals process for Elevance Health, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of member complaints and issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and improve efficiency in the grievance and appeals process.
- Conduct thorough investigations into member grievances and appeals, utilizing data analysis and other tools to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively resolve complex issues and improve overall operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards related to grievance and appeals procedures and ensure compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on grievance and appeals processes, providing guidance and training to team members and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to grievance and appeals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Act as a liaison between Elevance Health and external entities, such as regulatory agencies and third-party vendors, to ensure smooth and efficient coordination of grievance and appeals processes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon existing processes and procedures to enhance member satisfaction and overall performance.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation related to grievance and appeals activities, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Strong Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry Regulations And Compliance: A Process Expert, Grievance And Appeals At Elevance Health Must Have A Deep Understanding Of The Complex Regulations And Compliance Standards That Govern The Healthcare Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Hipaa, Cms Guidelines, And Other Relevant Laws And Regulations.
Demonstrated Experience In Grievance And Appeals Management: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing And Resolving Grievances And Appeals In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Experience In Conducting Investigations, Reviewing Medical Records, And Making Well-Informed Decisions Based On The Information Presented.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Process Expert, Grievance And Appeals, The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively Is Crucial.
