Pharmacy Technician - Purchasing

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Purchasing team at Elevance Health! As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for managing the ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other related items within the pharmacy. Your knowledge and dedication to the job will help ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and quality service.To be successful in this role, you should be organized, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with technology. You should also be passionate about providing excellent customer service and have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented professional with at least two years of experience in a pharmacy setting. A Pharmacy Technician certification is also a plus.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain an organized system for ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing pharmaceuticals and other related items.
2. Accurately record receipt and distribution of items in the pharmacy.
3. Ensure that all patient medications are filled and prepared properly according to laws and regulations.
4. Provide excellent customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals.
5. Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy staff.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the ordering, receipt, storage, or distribution of pharmaceuticals.
7. Maintain and update pharmacy records.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
9. Monitor and order supplies as needed.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
