Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist

A Pharm.D. degree is preferred but not required. The candidate should also have strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other healthcare providers. Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and insurance billing processes is also desirable. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential to ensure accuracy in the documentation and authorization of medications.

Responsibilities of a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist:
