  1. Develop and implement strategies to optimize pharmacy services and improve patient outcomes.
  2. Lead and manage the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) program, including overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize areas for improvement within the PBM program.
  4. Monitor and analyze data and trends to make informed decisions and recommendations for program enhancements.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with pharmacy vendors and partners to ensure the best possible pricing and services for our patients.
  6. Train and educate staff on PBM program updates and changes to ensure proper understanding and implementation.
  7. Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any issues related to pharmacy services.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for growth.
  9. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the PBM program.
  10. Lead and participate in meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on program performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  11. Represent the PBM program in external meetings and conferences to promote Elevance Health's mission and services.
  12. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to the PBM program.
  13. Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve program efficiency and reduce expenses.
  14. Train and supervise pharmacy staff on proper medication dispensing procedures and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the pharmacy team.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Pharmacy: A Pharmacist Program Manager At Elevance Health Should Have A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Program.

  • Strong Clinical Knowledge: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Clinical Pharmacy Practice And Therapeutic Areas, Including Medication Management And Adherence, Drug Formulary Management, And Clinical Guidelines.

  • Leadership Experience: Elevance Health Is Seeking A Candidate With Previous Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably In A Pharmacy Or Healthcare Setting. This Includes Experience Managing Teams, Developing And Implementing Strategies, And Overseeing Projects.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Benefit Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Benefit Management (Pbm) Principles, Including Formulary Design, Pharmacy Network Management, And Claims Processing.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is A Crucial Aspect Of This Role, As The Pharmacist Program Manager Will Be Responsible For Collaborating With Various Teams, Including Pharmacy, Medical, And Finance. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For Success In This Position.
