Job Description

At Elevance Health, we are looking for a Patient Financial Coordinator who is passionate about providing excellent service to our clients. This individual should be an organized, detail-oriented professional who can effectively handle complex financial tasks.The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical billing and collections processes, as well as excellent communication skills. They should also be comfortable working with different software programs, such as Microsoft Office, and be able to learn and use our proprietary systems.The Patient Financial Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient accounts and ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections. They will also work with third-party payers to ensure claims are processed correctly and quickly. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a positive impact on our patients.

Responsibilities of the Patient Financial Coordinator:

  1. Manage patient accounts and billing and collections processes.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
  3. Work with third-party payers to ensure claims are processed correctly and quickly.
  4. Provide excellent customer service to clients.
  5. Maintain detailed records and reports.
  6. Use Microsoft Office and other software programs to process patient information.
  7. Use proprietary systems to process patient accounts and claims.
  8. Resolve any financial disputes or discrepancies.
  9. Stay up-to-date on changes in medical billing and collections regulations.
  10. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with overdue payments.
