- Provide expert medical advice and guidance to patients over the phone through our Virtual 24/7 Nurse Helpline.
- Utilize strong nursing knowledge and skills to accurately assess patient symptoms and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients while addressing their healthcare needs.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all company protocols and guidelines while providing medical advice to patients.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.

Advanced Education And Training: A Nurse Practitioner (Np) Must Possess A Master’s Degree In Nursing, As Well As Specialized Training In A Specific Area Of Healthcare Such As Family Practice Or Pediatrics.
Current Licensure And Certification: The Np Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where They Will Be Providing Services. They Must Also Hold Certification As An Np From A Recognized National Organization, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or American Association Of Nurse Practitioners (Aanp).
Specialized Experience: Elevance Health Is Seeking An Np With At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Telehealth Or Virtual Care Environment. This Experience Should Include The Ability To Independently Assess, Diagnose, And Treat Acute And Chronic Conditions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Np Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, To Effectively Provide Care And Education To Patients Over The Phone. They Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport And Trust With Patients, As Well As Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
Flexibility And Adaptability: As A Virtual 24/7 Nurse Helpline Job, The Np Must Be Able To Work Flexible Hours And Adapt To Changing Schedules And Patient Needs. They Should Also Be Comfortable With Using Technology And Be Able To Quickly Learn And Navigate New Telehealth Systems And Processes.
