  1. Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to support the company's procurement function.
  2. Maintain a deep understanding of procurement law and regulations.
  3. Demonstrate a strong foundation in healthcare industry laws and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance in all procurement activities.
  5. Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  6. Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in procurement laws and regulations.
  7. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to procurement activities.
  8. Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies for procurement processes.
  9. Represent the company in legal proceedings related to procurement.
  10. Train and educate employees on procurement laws, regulations, and company policies.
  11. Work closely with external legal counsel as needed.
  12. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth procurement process.
  13. Manage and oversee junior legal team members, providing guidance and mentorship.
  14. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement law.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all legal matters.

Job Qualifications
  • A Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School And Admission To The State Bar.

  • Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, With A Focus On Procurement And Contract Negotiation.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Procurement, Including But Not Limited To The Federal Acquisition Regulation (Far) And State-Specific Procurement Codes.

  • Proven Experience In Managing A Team And Providing Leadership And Guidance On Legal Matters Related To Procurement.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal Stakeholders And External Partners.
