  1. Conduct thorough analysis of group insurance plans to determine appropriate pricing and risk assessment.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement underwriting strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  3. Review and assess group insurance applications, renewals, and amendments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Provide expert guidance and consultation to internal stakeholders on underwriting matters, including plan design, pricing, and risk management.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external clients, brokers, and other partners to ensure clear communication and understanding of underwriting processes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve underwriting processes and strategies.
  7. Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities within the group underwriting portfolio.
  8. Utilize data analysis and modeling techniques to assess profitability and risk of group insurance plans.
  9. Prepare and present reports on underwriting activity and performance to senior management.
  10. Mentor and train junior underwriting staff to ensure consistent understanding and application of underwriting principles.
  11. Communicate and negotiate with clients to address any concerns or issues related to underwriting.
  12. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop competitive and attractive group insurance proposals.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized underwriting records and documentation.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies regarding underwriting practices.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the underwriting department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Group Underwriting Or Similar Role In The Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills With The Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Make Strategic Decisions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Complex Information To Clients.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Group Health Insurance Products, Pricing, And Underwriting Principles And Practices.
