Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of the financial accounting and reporting processes for Elevance Health.
  2. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Monitor and manage the financial performance of the company, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
  4. Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
  5. Lead and manage a team of financial accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  7. Continuously review and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  9. Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support the company's financial goals.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  12. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline processes and increase productivity.
  13. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the company's growth and success.
  14. Train and develop team members to ensure a high level of performance and expertise in financial accounting.
  15. Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and ensure data security.
  16. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance, Or A Related Field. This Will Ensure That They Have A Strong Foundation In Financial Principles And Concepts.

  • Cpa Or Equivalent Certification: A Cpa (Certified Public Accountant) Or Equivalent Certification Is A Must-Have For A Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager. This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Expertise In Accounting And Financial Reporting, And Their Commitment To Professional Development.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Financial Accounting And Reporting: The Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry. This Will Ensure That They Have A Thorough Understanding Of Financial Accounting And Reporting Practices Specific To This Field.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Gaap And Sec Regulations: The Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Securities And Exchange Commission (Sec) Regulations. This Is Essential For Ensuring Accurate And Compliant Financial Reporting.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager Should Have Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Analyze Financial Data And Identify Potential Issues Or Discrepancies. They Should Also Be Able To Develop Solutions And Implement Corrective Actions.
