
Associate General Counsel - Legal Human Resources
At Elevance Health, we are looking for an experienced and innovative Associate General Counsel – Legal Human Resources to be a key member of our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background in human resources and will be passionate about ensuring the legal compliance of our HR practices.You must have a Juris Doctor degree, preferably from a top-tier university, and be an active member of the bar. Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of experience litigating labor and employment matters. You should also have a strong understanding of labor laws, corporate governance, and compliance issues.The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and have a strong attention to detail. You will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about human resources law and is eager to contribute to Elevance Health’s mission.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and review legal strategies for Elevance Health’s human resources department.
- Research and advise on labor and employment matters.
- Ensure legal compliance of Elevance Health’s HR practices.
- Analyze and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Advise the legal team on labor laws, corporate governance, and compliance issues.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure legal compliance.
- Actively monitor and assess legislative and regulatory changes that impact HR.
- Anticipate and identify potential legal risks and liabilities.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
- Provide legal support and advice to the HR department.
- Remain up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations.
- Investigate complaints and other issues related to labor and employment law.
- Represent Elevance Health in court and other legal proceedings.
- Manage external counsel and other legal service providers.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Jd Degree From An Accredited Law School
