- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all relevant EHS regulations and standards to ensure compliance within the workplace.
- Identify potential hazards and risks within the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on EHS issues, including training and education.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all EHS activities and ensure timely reporting to relevant regulatory agencies.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in EHS to continuously improve and enhance the company’s safety culture.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements to equipment, processes, and facilities.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as contractors and vendors, to ensure EHS compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on EHS matters and provide guidance and support to other departments as needed.
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of PPE and other safety equipment.
- Actively participate in safety committees and lead safety trainings and meetings.
- Monitor and track EHS performance metrics and report to senior management.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance EHS practices and procedures within the company.
- Foster a culture of safety and promote employee engagement in EHS initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Medical Device Or Biotechnology Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental Regulations And Standards.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Environmental Health And Safety Programs, Including Risk Assessments And Training.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders To Ensure Compliance And Promote A Culture Of Safety.
