Develop and implement product security strategies and policies in alignment with the company's mission and goals.
Lead and manage a team of product security professionals to ensure the highest level of security for all Edwards Lifesciences products.
Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities in the medical device industry and proactively address any potential risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT to integrate security measures into product development processes.
Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans for new and existing products.
Stay informed on relevant regulations and standards related to product security and ensure compliance with these requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with external security experts, government agencies, and industry partners to stay abreast of best practices and emerging technologies in product security.
Lead investigations and coordinate responses to any security incidents or breaches involving Edwards Lifesciences products.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on product security protocols and best practices.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of product security measures and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to communicate the company's commitment to product security to customers and stakeholders.
Represent the company in industry events and conferences related to product security.
Manage budget and resources for the product security team.
Foster a culture of security awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Support and promote the company's commitment to patient safety through product security.

Job Qualifications

In-Depth Knowledge Of Product Security Standards And Regulations: The Director, Product Security At Edwards Lifesciences Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Product Security, Such As Iso 27001, Hipaa, And Gdpr.
Extensive Experience In Developing And Implementing Product Security Strategies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Track Record Of Creating And Executing Effective Product Security Strategies To Protect Sensitive Information And Mitigate Cyber Threats.
Strong Technical Background: This Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of Technical Aspects Of Product Security, Such As Secure Coding Practices, Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Management, And Threat Modeling. The Candidate Should Have A Degree In Computer Science, Information Security, Or Related Fields.
Proven Leadership Skills: The Director, Product Security Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Product Security Professionals. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Building And Leading High-Performing Teams, As Well As The Ability To Collaborate And Influence Cross-Functional Teams.
Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: The Role Involves Working Closely With Various Stakeholders, Including Product Development Teams, Senior Leadership, And External Partners. The Candidate Should Have Outstanding Communication Skills And The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders. Additionally, Experience In Managing Relationships With Regulatory Agencies And External Auditors Is Preferred.
