- Develop and implement protection strategies for our electricity transmission and distribution systems.
- Conduct thorough analysis and testing of protection equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot protection system performance, identifying and addressing any issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other teams within the company to design and implement new protection schemes.
- Stay current with industry standards and advancements in protection technology, making recommendations for improvements to our systems.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of protection system designs, settings, and testing results.
- Participate in incident investigations, providing technical expertise and recommendations for prevention of future incidents.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on protection system design, operation, and maintenance.
- Communicate with external vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Power System Protection And Control.
Proficiency In Protection Relay Settings, Coordination, And Fault Analysis.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As Nerc, Ieee, And Nec.
Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Protection Issues.
