  1. Lead and direct a team of regulatory and economic analysts in all aspects of utility regulation and economic analysis.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to support the company's goals and objectives in the regulatory and economic landscape.
  3. Provide expert guidance and oversight on utility regulatory and economic matters, including rate case proceedings, regulatory compliance, and market analysis.
  4. Stay current on industry trends and changes in regulatory policies and provide recommendations on how to adapt and comply with these changes.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment and consistency in regulatory and economic strategies.
  6. Conduct thorough research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations on potential business opportunities and risks.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and customers.
  8. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  9. Manage and monitor the budget for the regulatory and economic analysis team.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Utility Regulations: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Utility Regulations At The Local, State, And Federal Levels. They Should Be Well-Versed In Utility Rate Structures, Tariffs, And Other Regulatory Frameworks.

  • Experience In Economic Analysis: A Principal Manager In This Role Should Have A Strong Background In Economic Analysis, Including Cost-Benefit Analysis, Financial Modeling, And Forecasting. They Should Be Able To Assess The Economic Impact Of Regulatory Decisions On The Company And Provide Recommendations For Cost-Effective Solutions.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: This Position Requires Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee A Team Of Analysts And Economists. The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Managing Projects, Setting Goals, And Delegating Tasks To Ensure The Team's Success.

  • Communication And Stakeholder Management: The Principal Manager Will Be Responsible For Representing The Company In Regulatory Proceedings And Communicating With Various Stakeholders, Including Regulatory Agencies, Industry Groups, And Consumer Advocates. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Utility Industry Experience: A Strong Understanding Of The Utility Industry, Including Its Structure, Operations, And Trends, Is A Crucial Qualification For This Position. Candidates With Prior Experience In The Energy Sector, Specifically In Utility Regulatory And Economic Analysis, Will Be Preferred.
