- Perform welding and fabrication tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, with precision and skill.
- Assemble and fit metal components using hand tools and welding equipment.
- Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect materials and equipment for defects and report any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the fabrication process.
- Continuously improve welding techniques and processes to increase efficiency and quality of work.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all job duties.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth production flow.
- Train and mentor new welders/fabricators as needed.
- Represent Eastman Kodak in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Experience In Welding And Fabrication: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Welding And Fabrication, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting. This Experience Should Include Proficiency In Various Welding Techniques And The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings And Blueprints.
Knowledge Of Materials And Welding Codes: A Strong Understanding Of Different Types Of Metals And Their Properties Is Essential For A Welder/Fabricator At Eastman Kodak. Candidates Should Also Be Familiar With Welding Codes And Standards, Such As Asme And Aws, And Be Able To Ensure Compliance With These Codes.
