- Manage and maintain Eastman Kodak's UNIX/Linux infrastructure, ensuring its smooth and efficient operation.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues or errors that arise.
- Install, configure, and maintain UNIX/Linux operating systems and related software.
- Develop and implement system security protocols and procedures to ensure data protection and integrity.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate UNIX/Linux systems with other technologies and applications.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards and best practices for UNIX/Linux administration.
- Provide support and guidance to other IT team members and end users on UNIX/Linux systems and technologies.
- Conduct regular system audits and implement necessary updates and patches.
- Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in UNIX/Linux technologies and make recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
- Maintain and manage relationships with vendors and service providers for UNIX/Linux systems and solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any system outages or performance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Train and mentor junior team members in UNIX/Linux systems administration best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects related to UNIX/Linux systems and infrastructure.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Administering Unix/Linux Systems, Preferably In A Large Enterprise Environment.
Strong Knowledge And Experience With Operating Systems Such As Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Solaris, And Aix.
Proficient In Shell Scripting And Automation Tools Such As Puppet Or Ansible.
Extensive Experience With System Monitoring, Troubleshooting, And Performance Tuning In A High Availability Environment.
