  1. Conduct research and analysis to develop and improve chemical processes and products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
  3. Monitor and analyze production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to chemical processes.
  5. Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation of all experiments and results.
  6. Stay updated on industry advancements and trends in chemical processes and materials technology.
  7. Identify and recommend cost-saving measures and improvements to existing processes.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working with chemicals and hazardous materials.
  9. Train and mentor junior chemists and technicians in chemical processes and procedures.
  10. Communicate and collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source necessary materials and equipment.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on project progress and recommendations.
  13. Assist in the scale-up of new processes from laboratory to production scale.
  14. Conduct experiments and trials to validate proposed process improvements and new product developments.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support to other departments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Chemistry Is Essential For A Process Chemist, As They Will Be Responsible For Designing And Optimizing Chemical Processes.

  • Experience With Process Development And Optimization: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Optimizing Chemical Processes, With A Proven Track Record Of Success.

  • Knowledge Of Analytical Techniques: A Process Chemist Should Be Familiar With A Variety Of Analytical Techniques, Such As Hplc, Gc, And Nmr, In Order To Analyze And Monitor Reactions.

  • Understanding Of Process Safety And Regulations: As A Process Chemist, It Is Important To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Process Safety And Regulations, Including Osha And Epa Guidelines.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills: Process Chemists Often Encounter Unexpected Challenges And Must Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Find Solutions. Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
