
Desktop Support Technician
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Desktop Support Technician to join DXC Technology. As part of the IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for all of our computer systems, software and hardware. You will need to be a customer-oriented and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in providing desktop support or technical assistance in a corporate environment. You must also have a solid understanding of desktop operating systems, such as Windows and Mac OS, as well as experience with various network protocols and technologies. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate a strong customer service focus and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Maintain a customer-oriented and detail-oriented attitude when dealing with customer issues.
- Identify, investigate and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Provide assistance to end users in the setup and configuration of computer systems and network devices.
- Monitor and maintain the health of computer systems, networks, and applications.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure and procedures.
- Ensure all service requests are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies.
- Assist with the deployment of new IT systems and applications.
