Azure Synapse SQL Data Engineer

DXC Technology is looking for an experienced and innovative Azure Synapse SQL Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our Azure Synapse SQL data platform, including its pipelines, databases, and analytics.We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background in Azure Synapse SQL and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an eye for detail and the ability to work independently.If you have experience in developing and administering Azure Synapse SQL databases, developing ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory, and creating analytics/reporting solutions, then we want to hear from you! A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent, is preferred, but not required. Knowledge and experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, and Azure Machine Learning are desirable.We look forward to receiving your application and welcoming you to our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and administer Azure Synapse SQL databases.
2. Create ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
3. Develop analytics/reporting solutions.
4. Maintain database platform, including pipelines, databases, and analytics.
5. Analyze and troubleshoot data issues.
6. Monitor and optimize the performance of the Azure Synapse SQL data platform.
7. Work collaboratively with other engineers to ensure the successful implementation of Azure Synapse SQL.
8. Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends.
9. Develop best practices for data management and security.
