  1. Greet and welcome visitors to Duke University with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing visitors' inquiries, concerns, and needs in a timely and courteous manner.
  3. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for visitors by providing accurate information about Duke University, its history, and its current offerings.
  4. Conduct campus tours and provide information about campus events, attractions, and amenities.
  5. Maintain a clean and inviting visitor center, ensuring all brochures, maps, and information are readily available.
  6. Manage multiple tasks, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting with event registrations, while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
  7. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Duke University's mission, values, and policies.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for visitors.
  9. Continuously seek ways to improve the visitor experience and provide feedback to management.
  10. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all interactions with visitors and colleagues.
  11. Attend training sessions and stay updated on Duke University's latest developments, policies, and procedures.

About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke. Duke's campus spans over 8,600 acres (3,500 hectares) on three contiguous sub-campuses in Durham as well as a marine lab in Beaufort.
