- Act as a standardized patient for Duke University's healthcare education and training programs.
- Portray a variety of patient scenarios in a realistic and accurate manner.

Strong Communication Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Non-Verbal Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Portray A Patient In Various Medical Scenarios.
Acting Experience: Previous Experience As An Actor Or In A Similar Role Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates The Ability To Convincingly Portray Different Characters And Emotions.
Familiarity With Medical Terminology: Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Beneficial In Order To Accurately Portray A Patient And Their Symptoms.
Flexibility And Availability: The Role Of A Standardized Patient May Require Availability During Weekdays, Evenings, And Weekends Depending On The Scheduling Needs Of The Program. Flexibility In Scheduling Is Essential.
Empathy And Professionalism: Standardized Patients Are Expected To Interact With Medical Students And Faculty In A Professional And Empathetic Manner. The Ability To Listen, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Maintain Confidentiality Is Crucial In This Role.
