  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Duke University's brand and marketing goals.
  2. Create engaging and visually appealing social media content across various platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  3. Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in social media to ensure Duke University's social media presence remains innovative and relevant.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and promote university events, initiatives, and campaigns through social media.
  6. Respond to inquiries and engage with followers on social media in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Manage social media advertising budget and work with vendors to create and execute paid campaigns.
  8. Identify and cultivate relationships with social media influencers and brand ambassadors to expand Duke University's reach and visibility.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with campus departments and organizations to ensure coordinated and consistent messaging across all social media channels.
  10. Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure social media efforts are integrated with overall communication and marketing strategies.
  11. Stay informed and adhere to Duke University's brand guidelines and social media policies.
  12. Monitor and report on social media trends and insights to inform future strategies and campaigns.
  13. Continuously seek out opportunities to improve and enhance Duke University's social media presence and engagement with our audience.
  14. Train and educate university staff and faculty on social media best practices and guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Marketing, Communications, Or A Related Field.

About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke. Duke's campus spans over 8,600 acres (3,500 hectares) on three contiguous sub-campuses in Durham as well as a marine lab in Beaufort. The West Campus—designed largely by architect Julian Abele—incorporates Gothic architecture with the 210-foot (64-meter) Duke Chapel at the campus' center and highest point of elevation, is adjacent to the Medical Center. East Campus, 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) away, home to all first-years, contains Georgian-style architecture.
