  • Greet and welcome visitors to Duke University, representing the institution in a professional and positive manner.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of experiments and research projects under the guidance of senior researchers.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and record accurate and detailed results.
  • Analyze data using various software and tools, and present findings in a clear and organized manner.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new research ideas and strategies.
  • Keep up-to-date with current research trends and literature in relevant fields.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and researchers from other departments.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide valuable input and feedback.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members and students.
  • Support the overall research process by performing administrative duties such as ordering supplies, scheduling experiments, and maintaining records.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Biochemistry.

  • At Least 1-2 Years Of Previous Laboratory Experience, Preferably In A Research Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Basic Laboratory Techniques And Procedures, Including Safety Protocols And Data Analysis.

  • Excellent Organizational, Communication, And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Familiarity With Common Laboratory Equipment And Software, Such As Pipettes, Centrifuges, And Microsoft Office.

About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke. Duke's campus spans over 8,600 acres (3,500 hectares) on three contiguous sub-campuses in Durham as well as a marine lab in Beaufort.
