  1. Develop and maintain project plans and schedules for various initiatives across the university.
  2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
  3. Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or roadblocks, proactively communicating and addressing any issues that may arise.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and objectives.
  5. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to key stakeholders.
  6. Assist in resource allocation and management to maximize project efficiency.
  7. Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, budgets, and timelines.
  8. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase project success.
  9. Communicate project updates and key milestones to various audiences, including senior leadership.
  10. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in project management.
  12. Represent Duke University professionally and uphold the institution's values and mission.
  13. Adhere to project management methodologies and standards, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
  14. Assist in the development of project proposals and business cases to secure funding and resources.
  15. Serve as a liaison between project teams and external partners or vendors as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Project Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Project Planning And Implementation, Preferably In A Higher Education Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders.

  • Proficiency In Project Management Software And Tools, Such As Microsoft Project Or Asana, And Ability To Learn And Adapt To New Technology And Systems.

About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke. Duke's campus spans over 8,600 acres (3,500 hectares) on three contiguous sub-campuses in Durham as well as a marine lab in Beaufort.
