High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Level Of Education Is Required To Be Considered For A Patient Transporter Position At Duke University. This Shows Basic Knowledge And Competence In Reading, Writing, And Math.
Prior Experience In Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Medical Facility, Is Preferred For This Role. This Ensures Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Equipment, As Well As An Understanding Of Patient Care Protocols.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Due To The Nature Of The Job, A Patient Transporter At Duke University Should Have Current Bls Certification. This Training Provides The Necessary Skills To Respond To Medical Emergencies And Perform Cpr If Needed.
