- Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments, including visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and medical history.
- Assist ophthalmologists in various procedures such as slit lamp examinations, tonometry, and OCT scans.
- Prepare and maintain ophthalmic equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
- Educate patients on eye care, including proper use of medication and contact lenses.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals, both verbally and in writing.

- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in the field of ophthalmology.
- Provide support and assistance to patients before, during, and after procedures.

Certified Ophthalmic Technician (Cot) Or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (Coa) Credential From The Joint Commission On Allied Health Personnel In Ophthalmology (Jcahpo).
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As An Ophthalmic Technician In A Clinical Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Proficiency In Performing Ophthalmic Diagnostic Tests And Procedures, Such As Visual Acuity Testing, Tonometry, And Refraction.
Knowledge Of Ophthalmic Medical Terminology, Ocular Anatomy, And Common Eye Diseases And Disorders.
Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team, Including Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
