  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Fuqua School of Business, ensuring efficient and effective functioning of all departments and processes.
  2. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
  3. Monitor and manage budgets for various departments and programs, ensuring financial stability and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of administrative and support staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  5. Collaborate with department heads to identify operational needs and develop solutions to improve processes and systems.
  6. Oversee facilities management, including maintenance, security, and space utilization to ensure a safe and functional environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety standards.
  8. Serve as a point of contact for external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and managing relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
  9. Analyze data and generate reports on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for optimization.
  10. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff, promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  11. Stay updated on industry best practices and developments in operations management, implementing new strategies and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders on projects and initiatives to support the school's overall goals and objectives.
  13. Represent the Fuqua School of Business in a professional and positive manner, both internally and externally, promoting its mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Business Administration, Operations Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Operations Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke.
