  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  3. Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  4. Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Nursing Care Assistant I At Duke University Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, Such As A Ged.

  • Cna Certification: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Must Hold A Current And Valid Certification As A Nursing Assistant From The State Of North Carolina.

  • Previous Experience In A Clinical Setting: Duke University Seeks Candidates With At Least One Year Of Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Nursing Care Assistant I Must Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members.

  • Ability To Lift And Assist Patients: This Job Requires Physical Strength And Endurance As The Cna Will Be Responsible For Assisting Patients With Mobility, Lifting, And Positioning. Candidates Must Be Able To Lift Up To 50 Pounds And Stand For Extended Periods.

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892.
