  1. Assisting with the planning and organization of exhibitions at Duke University's library.
  2. Collaborating with experienced staff to develop and implement exhibition concepts and themes.
  3. Conducting research on specific topics related to the exhibitions, including Duke University's history and collections.
  4. Assisting with the selection and preparation of materials for display.
  5. Creating and maintaining exhibition records and documentation.
  6. Ensuring the proper handling and care of delicate materials during the exhibition process.
  7. Assisting with the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions, including labeling, framing, and hanging artwork.
  8. Providing excellent customer service to visitors and answering any questions related to the exhibitions.
  9. Collaborating with other departments and organizations to promote and market the exhibitions.
  10. Maintaining a neat and organized working environment within the exhibition space.
  11. Attending meetings and training sessions to further develop knowledge and skills in library sciences and exhibitions.
  12. Adhering to all safety and security procedures to protect the exhibitions and collections.
  13. Assisting with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, budgeting, and preparing reports.
  14. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve and enhance the exhibition experience for visitors.
  15. Representing Duke University and the Exhibitions Services Department in a professional manner at all times.

About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke. Duke's campus spans over 8,600 acres (3,500 hectares) on three contiguous sub-campuses in Durham as well as a marine lab in Beaufort.
