  1. Conduct thorough analysis of various asset classes, including public equities, private equity, real assets, and fixed income, to identify potential investment opportunities.
  2. Monitor and evaluate existing investments to assess performance and make recommendations for potential adjustments.
  3. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement investment strategies that align with the long-term goals of Duke University.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and economic conditions to inform investment decisions.
  5. Build and maintain financial models to assess the potential risks and returns of potential investments.
  6. Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  7. Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial team members.
  8. Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
  9. Assist in the preparation of investment reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external investment partners, such as fund managers and brokers.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve investment processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  12. Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the investment industry.
  13. Collaborate with other departments within DUMAC, such as finance and accounting, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of investment activities.
  14. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on investment trends and best practices.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of DUMAC and Duke University.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field With A Strong Academic Record.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Investment Analysis, Preferably In A University Or Endowment Setting.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Proficiency In Financial Modeling And Data Analysis.

  • Familiarity With Various Investment Strategies, Including Equities, Fixed Income, And Alternative Investments.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Sec And Irs Guidelines.

About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke.
