1. Manage and oversee all immigration processes for the university, including visa applications, renewals, and extensions.
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable immigration laws and regulations.
3. Serve as the primary point of contact for international faculty, staff, and students regarding immigration-related inquiries and concerns.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all immigration documents and processes.
5. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to facilitate smooth immigration processes for international employees and students.
6. Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and regulations, and update university policies and procedures accordingly.
7. Conduct trainings and workshops to educate faculty, staff, and students on immigration-related matters.
8. Work closely with the Office of General Counsel to provide guidance and support on immigration issues.
9. Provide excellent customer service to all individuals involved in the immigration process.
10. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive immigration matters with discretion.
11. Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of international employees.
12. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all international members of the Duke community.
13. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HR Director.
