  1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' current physical abilities and medical histories to create personalized exercise plans.
  2. Supervise exercise sessions for patients, monitoring vitals, and making adjustments as needed.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients on exercise techniques and proper form to prevent injury and maximize results.
  5. Provide ongoing support and motivation to patients to help them reach their health and wellness goals.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting progress and any changes in treatment plans.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in exercise physiology to continuously improve patient care.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to treatment.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
  10. Serve as a positive and professional representative of Duke University and the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department, promoting our mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Exercise Physiology Or Related Field.

  • Certification As An Exercise Physiologist From A Recognized Organization (E.g. Acsm, Nsca).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.

  • Knowledge Of Exercise Testing And Prescription For Individuals With Cardiovascular And Pulmonary Conditions.

  • Cpr And Bls Certification.

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892.
