
Assistant VP, HR DUHS

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for the Duke University Health System (DUHS). - Develop and implement human resources strategies and policies for DUHS that align with the overall goals and objectives of Duke University.
- Lead and manage the talent acquisition process for DUHS, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
- Oversee all aspects of employee relations, including managing employee grievances, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments and leaders within DUHS to identify and address any HR-related issues or concerns.
- Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs for DUHS employees, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on performance management, employee development, and career planning.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Develop and oversee training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of DUHS employees.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to human resources.
- Manage a team of HR professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other HR leaders at Duke University to promote consistency and best practices across the institution.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in human resources and make recommendations for implementation at DUHS.
- Represent DUHS in external HR-related events and conferences.
- Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Master's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Hr, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Employment Laws And Regulations, Including Fmla, Ada, And Eeoc.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Hr Policies And Procedures.
Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Manage A Team Effectively.
