  1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, according to established protocols and safety standards.
  2. Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by following proper positioning techniques and using appropriate radiation protection.
  3. Review patient medical history and consult with healthcare team to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
  4. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images, procedures, and any relevant patient information.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality and efficient patient care.
  7. Continuously monitor and assess image quality, making adjustments as needed to obtain the best possible images.
  8. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
  9. Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in radiology, incorporating new techniques and technologies into daily practice.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering any questions or concerns.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
  12. Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  13. Attend trainings and continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure and stay current on industry developments.
  14. Act as a positive representative of Duke University Health System, promoting our mission and values to patients, colleagues, and the community.
  15. Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, including scheduling, documentation, and safety protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Equivalent From An Accredited Program.

  • Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Radiologic Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Proficiency In Operating A Variety Of Imaging Equipment, Such As X-Ray, Ct, Mri, And Ultrasound Machines.

  • Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Experience With Patient Positioning And Immobilization Techniques.
