  1. Coordinate and oversee various pharmacy programs within the Duke University Health System.
  2. Utilize expertise in pharmacy to develop and implement effective strategies for improving patient care.
  3. Collaborate with pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the success of pharmacy programs.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.

  6. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and incorporate best practices into pharmacy programs.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for pharmacy programs.
  8. Communicate program updates and progress to relevant parties, including leadership, staff, and patients.
  9. Develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  10. Train and mentor staff on program processes, procedures, and standards.
  11. Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during program implementation.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to pharmacy programs.
  13. Act as a liaison between pharmacy programs and other departments within the health system.
  14. Participate in meetings, conferences, and other events to represent the pharmacy programs and promote their impact on patient care.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for growth and improvement within pharmacy programs.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Program Specialist - Pharmacy At Duke University Health System Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or A Related Field. This Ensures That They Have A Strong Foundation In Pharmaceutical Knowledge And Can Effectively Perform Their Duties.

  • Pharmacy License And Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Valid License To Practice Pharmacy In The State Of North Carolina. They Should Also Have Relevant Certifications Such As The Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (Bcps) Or Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (Bcacp).

  • Experience In Pharmacy Program Development And Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Developing And Managing Pharmacy Programs. This Includes Experience In Implementing New Initiatives, Evaluating Program Effectiveness, And Ensuring Compliance With State And Federal Regulations.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare And Pharmacy Industry: A Strong Understanding Of The Healthcare And Pharmacy Industry Is Essential For A Program Specialist - Pharmacy. They Should Be Familiar With Industry Trends, Regulations, And Best Practices To Effectively Contribute To The Success Of The Pharmacy Program.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Program Specialist - Pharmacy, The Candidate Will Be Working With A Diverse Team Of Healthcare Professionals, Patients, And Stakeholders.
