  1. Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infection control practices and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to educate and train staff on infection prevention protocols.
  4. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
  5. Stay updated on current infection control trends and guidelines to ensure compliance and provide guidance to the organization.
  6. Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to infection prevention.
  7. Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and visitors regarding infection prevention and control measures.
  8. Participate in the development and review of emergency preparedness plans related to infection control.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of infection control measures and report any trends or concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention.
  11. Serve as a liaison with local and state health departments regarding communicable disease reporting and outbreak management.
  12. Participate in infection control committees and workgroups to advocate for best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  13. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop evidence-based strategies to prevent infection.
  14. Collaborate with vendors to ensure the availability of necessary infection control supplies and equipment.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by the department manager or director.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Infection Prevention And Control, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Certification In Infection Prevention And Control (Cic) Through The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).

  • Knowledge Of Current Infection Prevention Guidelines And Regulations, Including Those From The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (Cdc) And The Occupational Safety And Health Administration (Osha).

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Healthcare Providers, Patients, And Other Stakeholders.
