
Pharmacy Technician
The Duke University Health System seeks experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technicians to join our dynamic and professional Pharmacy team. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient care. This position requires candidates to have a Pharmacy Technician Certification, as well as experience in a hospital or health care facility. The ideal candidate must also be able to work independently, collaborate with other health care professionals, and effectively communicate with patients. Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician include:
- Maintain accurate records of medications prescribed and dispensed
- Assist in preparing medication orders and refilling medication requests
- Verify accuracy of prescription orders, including dosage, type, and strength
- Document and review medical and pharmacy histories of patients
- Adhere to all safety protocols, such as proper storage and handling of medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients and answer questions related to medications
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist the Pharmacist in other duties as needed
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
