Pharmacy Technician

The Duke University Health System seeks experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technicians to join our dynamic and professional Pharmacy team. Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician include:

• Maintain accurate records of medications prescribed and dispensed
• Assist in preparing medication orders and refilling medication requests
• Verify accuracy of prescription orders, including dosage, type, and strength
• Document and review medical and pharmacy histories of patients
• Adhere to all safety protocols, such as proper storage and handling of medications
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
• Communicate effectively with patients and answer questions related to medications
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist the Pharmacist in other duties as needed
