  1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures on pediatric patients using specialized equipment to produce high-quality images of the heart and surrounding structures.
  2. Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by following established protocols and providing appropriate support and education to patients and their families.
  3. Utilize expert knowledge and skills to accurately interpret images and detect abnormalities or potential cardiac conditions in pediatric patients.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients, including cardiologists, nurses, and other specialists.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and department policies.
  6. Continuously monitor and assess equipment functionality and report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Foster a positive and compassionate environment for pediatric patients and their families by demonstrating empathy, understanding, and patience.
  8. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in pediatric cardiac sonography to ensure the delivery of high-quality and evidence-based care.
  9. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards while adhering to all HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  10. Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance skills and contribute to the overall success of the pediatric cardiology team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Certification In Pediatric Echocardiography From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Echocardiography, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology, As Well As Various Congenital Heart Defects And Their Associated Imaging Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Pediatric Patients And Their Families, As Well As Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team.
